Bebo Seals Content Deal with Samsung

Looking at the growth of mobile social networking, it was expected that something major is around the corner. And here is the news that is certainly going to be talked about in the mobile market for some time. Fast growing social networking site Bebo has found a new partner in Samsung Mobile UK that will help the latter compete with Nokia and Sony Ericsson. As per the agreement, Samsung will sponsor and provide music content for Bebo’s music homepage and also sponsor the site’s series of live music events.

Bebo Wears a Latino Look

Social network Bebo has decided to foray into newer markets by launching a site especially for the Latinos. AOL-owned Bebo has introduced a Latin version of its site, similar to the ones catering to users from the UK, Germany, Ireland, Poland and other international territories.

In a statement released of late, Nicole Vanderbilt, VP International at Bebo said that new market expansion is a key pillar of the company’s growth strategy, and the growing U.S-based Latino community provides huge potential to capitalize on.

Bebo Gets Lifestreaming Features

Online major AOL added vigor into its social networking site Bebo by upgrading it with  lifestreaming features. Acquired in 2008, Bebo has been a strategic investment for AOL to enter the fast-growing social networking market. Lifestreaming is a rapidly growing form of online service that allows users to broadcast regular and brief updates regarding their lives via videos, pictures, comments, blogs items, and other content.

In lifestreaming, the posts are aggregated from several other social media and social networking sites and arranged in a chronological order. Some of the sites already offering lifestreaming services are FriendFeed.com and Tumblr.com.

Bebo Joins the Mobile Social Networking Bandwagon

Recognizing the tremendous potential for mobile social networking in the future, social network Bebo has announced plans to maximize its service availability. The new Bebo Open Mobile Programme is an initiative that provides operators with tools to allow customers access the Bebo site.
