The concept of blogging emerged several years back. Earlier, people were skeptical about its benefits or maybe lethargic to write posts and considered it as a waste of time. Web 2.0 was at its incubation stage and writing articles was more on a personal level basis, which means existence was largely in form of personal blogs. However, since the past few years, blogging has proved its potential and gained a strategic position in the social media world. They are now considered as an efficient tool to create a strong brand both individually and commercially.
Blogs that have been established long back are at an advantage today. The reason why I say so is because they have gained more popularity with search engines and people who have been regularly reading blogs. Several blogs have also died on the way due to lack of consistency and quality, even though they were started several years back.
Today, there are millions of blogs across the Web, and the number is growing very rapidly each day. Social media is attracting individuals and businesses faster than before, wherein blogs play a predominant role. In fact, it has become a reliable source of information and an excellent way to reach users through search engines. Most of the traffic that visits blog is via search engines. Hence, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) has gained attention while writing blog posts as well.
Keywords form an important component of blog posts. The older your blog is, more number of keywords it contains in form of archived posts. On the contrary, a newbie in the blogging world will spend a lot of time in attracting visitors, and would require great dedication in impressing both search engines and human readers. If that’s the case, these 8 basic rules of successful blogging can be extremely useful to get you started in your endeavor.
So, in case you haven’t started blogging yet, get in action now! You don’t necessarily need to know HTML to create a blog, if that’s your worry. There are several blog hosting applications like WordPress and Blogger, wherein all you need to do is create a free account, upload your content and publish it. And don’t forget to maintain consistency in posting. All new things take time to grow, and blogs are no exception.
